HON. GRACE M. NALEDI CONFERRED WITH GCOP TITLE & JEWEL HOWARD TAYLOR'S WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP PRIZE FOR SUPERLATIVE PERFORMANCE AND DEDICATION TO NATION BUILDING

The UNIPGC Supreme Council Chairman and General Assembly of the AFRICAN Continental CHAPTER has confirmed the Nomination of Hon. Dr. Grace Naledi, the South African Former Minister Of Foreign Affairs with the Jewel Howard Taylor Women in Leadership Prize, for her hard work and dedication to nation building.

Amb. Jonathan has described Hon. Grace M. Naledi as an "ICON OF TRUE DEMOCRACY' in Africa" for her contributions towards the advancement of the ideology of Pan-Africanism which qualifies her to be confered with the Title of GRAND COMMANDER OF PEACE (GCOP).

H. E Amb. Jonathan disclosed this information to journalists at the 14th Edition Of the UNIPGC PAN AFRICAN LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM AND HONORS (PALESH NIGERIA 2025) which took place on 5th Of April, 2025 at the Nigerian Institute Of International Affairs (NIIA) Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria where he extended greetings of Her Excellency, Jewel Howard Taylor, the immediate Past Vice President of Liberia and MATRON of UNIPGC AFRICA.
He further states that the top Women in Leadership Prize & GCOP Title is in recognition of Hon. Grace's hard work and dedication to National Service, selfless leadership ideology, high administrative prudence and developmental strides across communities in the Republic Of South Africa.

Other considerations include her efforts in nation building, accountability, exemplary lifestyle which promotes African moral values, zero tolerance to corruption, nepotism and favouritism, women, youth empowerment, management teamwork, among others.

The UNIPGC General Assembly , with its African Continental headquarters in Nigeria, also identified the Former Minister's strides in buiding future women leaders, inspiring and educating young Africans to stay back and develop the continent, encouraging sustainable entrepreneurship for the purpose of providing Africa with intellectually equipped women to ensure a secured future for Africa, and intentionally training dynamic young people to represent Africa on the international arena.

In a Video acceptance Speech, Hon. Grace Naledi expressed appreciation to the organization for identifying her modest achievements, noting that the honour will propel her to do more for her people in South Africa and Africa at Large.

"To be identified and honoured with this prize in the African continent means so much to me, and I don't take this for granted."

"This honour will propel me to explore more ways of attending to the needs of my country. It is a call to more work, and I promise to go steps higher to attract tangible dividends to my people."

UNIPGC Supreme Council Chairman and Permananrt Rep. To the United Nations His Excellency, Amb. Jonathan Ojadah will be presenting the award in a grand ceremony to Hon. Grace in Johannesburg, South Africa along with other Representatives of the General Assembly including the UNIPGC South African Country Chief, Special Envoy to South Africa and other Executives.
