Nigeria’s Independence Day marks a pivotal milestone celebrating the nation’s sovereignty established on October 1, 1960.
As election cycles approach, this milestone serves as a vital anchor for unifying key stakeholders, fostering civic engagement, and solidifying democratic principles.
Organized in commemoration of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, the UNIPGC Peace and Governance Conference/ Awards provides a high-level dialogue dedicated to strengthening democratic governance and peacebuilding systems across the nation.
This premier forum convenes high-profile leaders, including past and present State Governors, Cabinet Ministers, Heads of Government, foreign Ambassadors, Diplomatic Corps members, Monarchs and Traditional Rulers, serving and retired Military/Security Chiefs, private sector Executives, Investors, and Religious Leaders.
To foster active civic participation among the populace—particularly the youth—the conference will integrate a Voter Education & PVC Sensitization Campaign. This campaign will be paired with digital youth talent challenges in music, technology, and the creative arts to promote positive civic engagement.
